Im having them painted as soon as I collect in Nov. I have been quoted 50 a corner.

You're not seriously paying £200 to have your calipers painted are you?

If it's the option of £200 or buy a £6 tin of paint and DIY

Lol...ehhhh...was thinking about it. I love my cars but not hands on at all. My mates is always tinkering with his car. Stripping the engine down, changing this that and the next thing. He told me he would do it. But in just worried me makes an absolute hash of it and I'm left with a duff job and red paint all over the wheel arches or something. I am reluctant to pay someone 200 to do it. I was hoping like Ireland we could get the sport and sound package so I wouldn't have to have them painted

Oh boy...that's lovely!!! Im having them painted as soon as I collect in Nov. I have been quoted 50 a corner. Looks great. Lets see some from further away if possible

Hi virginVWman, I only have this one at the moment I'm afraid from giving the car a quick snow foam earlier today. This truly was  a no contact wash and just shows the slipperiness of the C2V3 sealant. Just sprayed the Auto Finesse Snow foam onto the car. Left it for abut 10 minutes, then power washed off. No shampoo buckets required at all. Proof of the pudding was when I dried the car with my waffle drying towel, it came off perfectly clean indicating there was no dirt left on the car (and boy was it dirty in just 3 days of this horrid weather).

That is STUNNING!!!!!!!!!! You must be loving all the attention your getting. Seeing pics like these makes the wait feel so much longer but it sure as hell will be worth it. Sterling effort on the clean also

And what did it do on the economy front? Mine has improved a lot today (possibly only between DPF regens). Still tighter than the 170 Scirocco in 5th/6th acceleration for me.

@Norbreck21a, looking at your pictures of under the car it looks like it has the plugs where you can fit the lifting pads, do you know if you can still fit them to the front like the mk6? You needed to remove a piece of the under tray to fit the front ones.

Cheers. ;)

Jimble, didn't see the quadrant pieces in the front of the underbody splash shield like there was on a MK5, but to be honest I wasn't really looking
