Hey this is my first post,(just found the site) i am thinking of getting some serious engine work done on my 90spec mk2 golf gti 8v, i am getting very very cofused and dazed with all the options etc, neway i have contacted the likes of vagsport etc, and they reccomended a turbo conversion for ?1900 which includes forged pistons ,crank etc, what are peoples thoughts on this mod, is it any good or should i just get it bored out to 2L etc, i have been looking at the engines TSR supply they do look good but seem a bit pricey when you consider i can get the turbo conv for that price.I do want to try and keep the orginal engine etc, i have looked at gettin a g60 but i have heard bad things bout the charger .
