As per the title really.

Finally worked out that the next car will indeed be a golf gti and am 90% sure it will be a dsg version.

So does anyone have any views/pointers regarding the DSG box? I've driven a skoda fabia (not the sporty one, but went well nonetheless) probably a 1.4tsi but had the dsg box (7 speed) without the paddle shift.

Didn't really go 'manual' in it too much but my recollections were that the gearchanges were nice and snappy with my only concern being that on one occasion during a particularly spirited pullaway from the lights it seemed to get a bit confused between 1st and 2nd (big gap in the change) although it was in full auto mode.

Ta in advance!

Yes, it blips on downchanges in S mode (or at least it did on the last three DSG Golfs I had)

The DSG vs Manual debate is a recurring thread on these forums, and often the threads get quite long

DSG is like marmite .. some love it and some hate it

Here's a useful old thread to get you started :-
