Horse + Strobe =

Just thought I'd share a shot I did yesterday. Got to say I love this, they are much more settled with the flashing than I thought. Going to be many more on the way like this...

Nicely done.
The light on the horse is really good, brings out a nice brown tone of the skin.

What was the backdrop? It's got a good texture to it.

Was the flash off camera, to the left?

I'm surprised the horse wasn't more twitchy with the flash going off, although it might depend on how many times you fired it.

Pebble-dashed wall backdrop?

Shot looks really good.... even if it is of a horse.

One day I really must buy myself a flashgun
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

The background isn't the best, granted, think I would rather do it with no background, ie in the field.

Yes the flash was off to the left, hand held (tripods not good around horses!).

I was very suprised that he didn't flinch with the flash but it was a bright day and I suppose it isn't like flashing it at night, it's not as noticeable and barely makes any noise.

(My flashgun was £17 from cash converters, £3 for a diffuser from eBay and £8 for an off camera cable) ;)
