Engine and gear box ,

Looking a buying a vr6 1996 sharan and want to no if I do a engine swap into my mk2 can I use the sharan gear box ??

not sure about gearbox but I think sharan engine is lower power output than the vr6 found in the vw cars.

Nope it was the AAA or AMY lump with 174bhp, the lower power version was 140bhp and was fitted to the Transporter (T4)

Reference the gearbox it should be ok, might be worth checking ratios etc however.

So it still has the same power ? And I can use gear box some one said u can convert them to cable to save changing the pedals using part no 02a141723 vrt thanks for all your help
