Go for the OEM plugs which should be Bosch.

Also your plugs should have been changed as part of the 40000 mile service?

think they were missed as JCT600 Peugeot  bought the car on 41,600 miles. did a full service and brought up to VW for me.

( wonders off to check Service book  ) but pretty sure they said they hadnt been changed.

On the 2.0TSI the plugs don't get changed until 60K or 6 years so should be good for a while yet.

My car has just hit 40K and I must say it really is running sweet since I changed the coil packs

Yeah i think 60k is a little high for a performance car, did you get the OEM or the R8 coil packs?

I didn't change the plugs on my MK5 GTI, which was running Superchips stage 2, until 60K and never had any issues.

Just went for the OEM coil packs after I had one replaced under warranty, I saw the R8 ones but just thought I would stick with the originals as I thought they would be matched to the other components.

Now the exhaust pipes never soot up like they used to, they are still clean after 1000 miles of driving.

oh ok cool.

Well thinking about getting the R8 coil packs, some people say they are a tiny bit better and even a bit cheaper than the GTI one.

I have a busy weekend - New LED rear light, New Airfilter, TT Short shifter, Spark plugs and Coils, and best of all adding my Superchips Remap....should feel like a new car
