Hi what is the easiest way of removing the block, will the gearbox will have to come with it, only guessing as my hanes manual hasn't come through yet and i need to get it out.

easiest way is to get a hoist, take the weight off the engine and remove the whole front end, ie cross member etc. then you can pull it all out the front. its easier to remove the gearbox out the car and you'll have enough space. have a look at the photo's in my project section for photo's of when i did mine.

or alternativly, if you dont have a hoist, drop it all out from below. put the car on a couple of ramps or axle stands then just remove the head, you can then drop & slide the block & box out from below. thats what we did with mine
