main dealer or inderpendent vw dealer are there any bad stories?

main dealer or inderpendent vw dealer are there any bad stories? my mot is dew soon and wanna take it to propper garage and was just wondering if any of you could help i have a main dealer not to far away and a inderpendent 1 little further just dont wanna get ripped off or them muck my car up!

Just take it to the nearest MOT station.. doesn't have to be vw related in any way. Then if it needs work, go to a vw specialist, not a dealer !

MY previous 99 w reg golf went into the main dealers for a MOT.(free for life u see,tight git I am).They wanted £300+ to carry out some work needed for it to pass.I went to an independant vw garage ran by ex employeesof the dealer.Same job and parts,half the price.Now I have a 04 golf TDi150.dealers till warranty expires then independant all the way...
