Hi I have a 91 8v gti and yesterday I stripped down my throttle body and cleaned all the dirt on the inside and the hole for the idle screw was blocked but after I cleaned it all out and rebuilt my air intake my idle was very high like 1500rpm I assumed this is because the air could flow after the dirt was removed so I turned my idle back to normal but now I have a strange sort of clicky noise when I accelerate but it goes away as the revs increase. It's the same noise that I can hear on my dads 8v but I don't know what that is either, anyone have any ideas and/or know how to fix it if its not supposed to be there.
The throttle is much more responsive after the clean also.
