Help need engine asap !!!

Hi I'm new to forum and am desperate to save my car from the golden gates!!! I have a 1998 1.9 tdi and have had it years, but unfortunately my turbo blew which then blew engine it won't even start not even by a jump start, my engine code is AHF .
I am a girl who knows nothing about engines or cars in any shape or form! I only no (as ridiculous as this will sound ) that I hate the thought of scrapping my car and I get upset!! ( sorry I no!!)
I no there must be some way to save my car, I am so desperate for any help or advice in sorting my car out, I would be so very grateful got any info.

Finding another engine is possible, but you could be opening a very expensive can of worms, especially if it happens again, there are so many unknown factors to take into account when swapping an engine, if you get it wrong, you could easily double the estimate, and budget that you have... be ruled by your head, and not by your heart in these situations!
Why not use your predicament to move on to something newer, even Mk5s are now becoming very affordable

Harsh but true, time to treat yourself to a new car rather than throwing cash at a lost cause.

as has been said,  cars pritty much end of life  if you were in a position to swap the engine yourself and had one sat there it would be just about worth it, the harsh relaity is. 

thers is one of those engine's sat in the back of the w/s  it's done mega miles tho it apparently had a full rebuild during it's pitstop at the moon. but i can't see you wanting to come this far to pick up a 270k enigne

Better to move on at the end of the day, will make more sense in the long run.

Is it a daily driver, and/or do you need it sorted asap?

Its easily done replacing the engine and turbo, and both can be had very cheaply from a breaker. At the end of the day, its all just nuts and bolts, so with the right tools, it could be done pretty quickly. I know you'll have no knowledge of the replacement engine, but its a risk I suppose may be worth taking.
Lots have replaced engines due to failure, me included, on cars that aren't worth much at all. If you can do without the car for a little while, I'd be happy to guide you through the replacement.
