PCV and MPG
« on: 23 May 2013, 12:28 »
I suppose this post is for anyone struggling with low mpg and for no apparent reason.  My car wasnt particularly down on power, but has felt more lethargic particularly with gear changes of late...its a DSG box too.  However, took it to Awesome GTI and had them change the PCV over to latest versions, and wow.  My MPG on the motorway can now get higher than 31 again  :lipsrsealed:

There were no obvious signs of wear on there, and the DV itself is still in working order, but the change of PCV kit has made idle smoother, and gear changes back to urgent, all noticable straight away as i fired the car up and went to drive home.

I know its a random post...but now  again.
