basically the outlet from your catch can goes to the tip, if your tip is leaking in atmospheric air, then its air that your maf isn`t reading.  :smiley:

I understand that, But when people vent the can to atmosphere they bung the unused bit on the tip,
So my question is, would a leak at the catch can still cause an issue?

as long as the tip is sealed you should be o.k.. you might have issues with mot though due to not recycling the  gasses  :tongue:
