How do I find out if it's just the gasket of the actual head.

I'm new to the world of golf gti so if I'm a bit dumb. Please forgive me

Mk4 1.8 20v turbo AGU. Head has gone but how bad

I brought the car knowing the head gasket had gone. There's oil in the water is this more then the gasket and the actual head it's self ??

Are there any quick fixes??? I've looked at replacement engines. Mines got the ko4 turbo and a remapped ecu. Would these jst b able to b moved over to the engine with ease.

Also mines an agu would the other engines work with my wiring loom???
