CCM Module help needed
« on: 03 May 2013, 14:53 »
Hi all,

Could anyone tell me as I am quite new to all things mk4 but if I was to change the ccm module would I need to get keys recoded etc? Also I do have the keys that match the new module but that would then mean a full lock change so am I missing something or is there an easier way? Sorry for being blonde lol
I also have a 79 Escort it only has a couple of sticky pages!!

You need a com with the same extract number of the one your taking off. You can recode your keys to the new box using the two key process which I think there might be a link to in the maintenance section

Why are you changing the CCM?

I will be putting in the bora CCM soon, mid mk5 boot handle mod

If you change the CCM your keys will need coding I believe. It can be done manually or with VAGCOM also...

This site the VCDS site is very helpful. You can get the programme and the how to do it there.

Post back how it goes...
