This is ridiculous, surely a bloody torch is standard issue for a police officer attending a call out at night time? I hope it's thrown out and she gets the sack.

I doubt very much that she will be successful in a compensation claim. A very dangerous precedent would be set if she is successful.
The stupid cow is probably trying her best to get off the front line and avoid shifts, hopefully she will get bullied out of the job for being useless and numb!
