mk3 clocks?
« on: 30 March 2013, 21:08 »
hi guys me again,
just finished a 20v conversion in a mk3 and my very last job is trying to wire the clocks up,
im using the original mk3 gti clocks but cant get my head around why nothing works, not even the fuel gauge and ive not had to touch that so all should be original making me think it could be a fuse but checked all them and they all seem fine.
dont know if anyone has had this problem it seems odd that the warning lights all work but non of the gauges move not even flicker on initial start!!!!

please help

Yes iv had this issue. Theres a ground that runs through headlight loom amd can get removed when doing looms. Ill do a quick search because i cant remember the exact pin outs

T28/3 to U1/10 to permanant ground.

T28/5 to U2/13 which then runs off to an earth connector in the headlight harness it says.

So basicly spice a wire in each of those wires in the clock harness and earth them. Dash was fine for me
