Securing a mk1 oil cooler
« on: 10 August 2005, 16:29 »
Hi, just fitted a mk1 oil cooler to my mk2 gti and was just wondering if anyone had done this and found a good way to mount it?

I was thinking of mounting it to the top of the slam panel and then with an L bracket to the thing the radiator rests on, is this the best way or is there some other clever way to do it?

i've got one of these but couldn't be arsed to fit it yet. looking at it, the bracket looks like it mounts in the way you describe, so it'd sit beside the radiator. mine had a little plastic cone thing that looks like it should mount in one of the divots that the radiator uses.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post
