anyone running vag com on a mac successfully?

bought a cable from ebay and got vcds to work on vmware fusion on my macbook. problem is the cable isn't recognised by my mac whereas it comes up on my mates xp desktop.. just wondering if anyone's found an ebay cable that is ok on mac!

btw i now have an obsolete cable for windows...

can you explain this for me? there's about 6 million pages lol. i don't need a windows emulator for mac, i have that part working fine, just a usb cable that mac recognises.. cheers
