Drove through a deep puddle pretty slowly then went straight down an obviously completely covered caved in drain hole and drive on a bit for the front wheels to lock up solid.

After draining out the air filter I got a tow home. Intake manifold drained out, glow plugs out, battery just charging but it did turn over pretty smooth.
Giving it a 30 min charge then can see just how tough the SDI's are and whether it's gonna have a new engine or not. Wondering how hard a cheapo non-PD TDI conversion would be.
