Fitted an RNS 315 DAB with built in BT to my 2012 Cabriolet with to many probs (my original radio had DAB and separate BT under seat.) I did have to get some stuff turned on and of with VCDS, all you would need is two extra aerials DAB and GPS and like the others said you would need to wire a mic. Mick
Thanks, food for thought. Will the existing mic not work? I have the GPS ariel already with the RNS 510.
I would just need to run a DAB screen ariel.
I contacted the AutoDab supplier (Connects2) and they said "AutoDAB will work with the RNS510 unit".
Halfords stock the AutoDab, and if you're brave enough, will fit it for £35. I definitely want DAB in my GTi (with RNS510), just haven't got round to it! I miss it, cos my last car (Kuga) had it as standard.
That's interesting! All their dealers state that they only guarantee it will work with the RCD 510 and 310 etc.
Tempted to try one and see.
Don't think I'd want Halfords fitters near my car!!
It can't be hard to fit and I managed to instal the RNS 510 easily enough and also a stealth Pure Highway instal in my other car.
I think it only says it will work with the RCD on the Halfords website too...
