Ok, so I can imagine a lot of people have posted about this before so I apologise in advance.
I've just purchased a Bluefin from Superchips for my Gti Edi 35. I'm currently in the process of sorting the insurance for it at the moment which is proving to be a bit of a ball ache.
I'm with admiral and they only allow 25% increase in power.
http://www.mybluefin.co.uk/search?make=38&fueltype=3&model=465&variant=2558I've done my own calculations and whist it's not exactly a taxing calculation I think the figures are up for interpretation. I'm getting an increase of 26% BHP which is obviously not 25%.
Although I agree it's not worth risking it with insurance I don't really want to have to change insurers for the sake of 1% of increase which might not even be the case in real life.
If anyone's got any thoughts that would be great,
P.S. if you use PS as your unit of power you get an increase of 25.9% do I really have to round it up?
