A quick tap with a bar and  hammer on the rod to take up the remaining 1mm of free play often cures it  :wink:

Sounds like I'd have to take my brave pills to do that one! :D

I assume you'd have to take the turbo out of the car though to get enough access for that sort of thing? Struggling to find a good video for it - but as I say, not sure I'm at taking a hammer to it quite yet!
