engine tappy when warm/hot

I hope someone can help me out on this . My abf engine had the oil light flashing so got new sensors and put them on now the light has gone out. Ive put new oil and filter on it and fired it up and sounded really smooth but just as it starts to warm up and get hot it starts to get tappy . Am i right in thinking it could be the oil pump or the oil pump pick up? Any help would be greatly appreciated thx.

10w40 semi synthetic

Drop the sump and check the pick up pipe.

oil pressure dropping off to much when hot is often knackerd shells.

set of big ends can be done with the sump off in not to long and are only 18 quid,  cured a few tappy morors by doing that
