Should there be any movement in the conrods when the sumps off ?
Just plain dubbin

No, the conrods shouldn't be moving with the sump off.

With the sump off, there won't be any oil, so no oil lubrication.

If you're seeing the conrods moving whilst you have the sump off, switch the engine off.

There all bolted up still and 2 of the 4 od them u can move the movement is minimal but i didnt rhink it was wright
What can i do about it just fit new shells ?

Get a bit side to side just sliding on crank but non if pushing rod up/down.

A fraction of side to side play is normal. Any play up and down is very bad news indeed.

Ok cool ill look next time im up the workshop i think its side to side but may just change the bearings anywya
