16v Exhaust Tips
« on: 13 November 2012, 15:52 »
Hello all, my 16v Anni is now taxed and MOT'd and i'm really pleased with it. (Pics to follow when ive had my Grille resprayed and stripe on) my issue is that it has the standard exhaust on and its too short, the exhaust finishes about an inch short of the body. Have i got a badly fitted or non standard exhaust backbox or am i just missing the ends of it?

Have you got any pictures? The original standard anniversary backbox came with chrome tips.

I'll get some pics up asap, so it may just be that the chrome tips have been lost, but surely it would be the standard 16v backbox and you'd think without the chrome tips it would still be visible.

Sounds like the tailpipes are too short

Pretty sure mine where inch short. You can lengthen it by the centre pipe.

Cheers, I'll get on it this week. Any ideas once I've had it adjusted, where I'll get some chrome tips from? I don't want some tacky Halfords sh!te, just something to neaten it up a bit?
