To be fair I don't drive mine in the real world.
I have a van for work and use it for personal use too.
I don't drive my cars fast, because I race twice a month on weekends.
I usually have more than one car but just sold my BMW and now looking for a A6
I don't have kids.

So running low really isn't a problem for me but if the above was different, no van and kids I would still have a stupidly low golf

So what they did was race through a wood while drunk, then drive through a couple sheds and there, the abomination was created.
