Cloth reacaros

Hello my mk4 doesn't have heated seats and I'd like it too what is involved to convert them? And how easy is it?
MK4 golf 1.8 turbo agu :)

new seats and wiring loom!!!


2000 GTI 1.8t ARZ, S2000 filter, DSG intake, Forge 007 dv, Catch can, R-tech custom remap, 3" Supersize Silicone TIP, Powerflex dog bone, 'The Beast' FMIC, Ultimate delete, LCR fuel pump, 3" Turbo back, K03 hybrid, Ported Manifold, S3 injectors, 80mm maf = 280bhp 270lbft :evil:

you can retro fit the elements but TBH it's more hassle than it's worth and will prob work out quite expensive

Yeah, stripping the seats down is a bit of a ballache Dan. It's do-able but then you'd also need the loom & switches.

Spoke to danny who i work with youno him dont you dom? and he said hes took mk4 reacaros apart before and found them to be heated seats, some cars had them from factory just didnt have the winter pack so they wasnt wired up, gonna see if mine have them worth a try i gess?  :smiley:

Dan Hartley? Yeah know him, can't say I've ever heard of that before though!

I guess it's worth a try, £280 is a sh!t load of money to have a warm arse....I'd rather sit on a hot water bottle!

yes mate thats him, and yeah its alot of money but im sure mathew could help me make a wiring loom he loves doing wiring haha, or if my car has them already fitted then the kits only £170 so we shall have to see :)

have a look under the seat, if you have two plugs under there you have heated seats
