Tyres
« on: 26 October 2012, 21:39 »
Found some S6 wheels with 265 35 19 tyres, will they fit? I'm assuming my rear spacers would have to come off? The wheels are 52 offset 9x19" 5x112. Thinking I could send spacers back and put the money towards refurb after the winter?

Cheers.

Not a hope.
My 19s are 8.5" wide, ET52, with 225 wide tyres and it's tight...with 235s it can rub on full lock at the front and on full compression at the rear...so an extra 6mm of wheel width per side and an additional 20mm of tyre?
Not a snowballs chance in hell.

Unless you want to be a scene queen...and pull the arches, fit stretched rubber etc.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Thanks for that. Straight to the point I like it! I'll stick to my 18" with spacers.

Check on an alloy offset calculator but those are going to stick out 18mm further than the stock rims so stretch and poke ftw
