courtesy light switch issue
« on: 25 October 2012, 17:16 »
good evening peoples.
so my interior light is staying on, and also my alarm is going off so often that there is no point in arming it. the alarm is telling me that a door trigger is setting it off, which makes sense that my interior light is staying on. problem is which one is it? is there a way to test with a multi meter or somthing?

i would just do drivers switch, however the last week, i havent been arming it because of this, and when  i armed it today all was well. no alarm going off.  opened all the doors and inspected all the rubbers on the switches and they all seem fine. shut all doors then armed the alarm and it went off straight away.

looking back i should have looked at 1 door at a time and then armed alarm to see if it would go off, but ive messed that up now buy opening all doors at once lol

i could get 4 second hand ones, and replace them all, but when it comes to a potential car alarm going off in middle of night, i would rather just get one brand new one and replace the duff one.
sorry for my life story!
