Waxoyl spray paint
« on: 23 October 2012, 15:48 »
Does anyone know whether or not the waxoyl spray paint fully dries? I treated some rust on the floorpan and spare wheel well and it seems to be taking a long time to dry, and the bits from the spare wheel well that seem dry seem to be still slightly damp.

I'm hoping the answer is yes it does fully dry, otherwise I'm going to have to scrape it all off and buy some more normal paint... :undecided:

Bottom hole in the bottom pic looks pretty bad. It's not as bad as it looks, most of it is just a thick layer of paint.

Unfortunately waxoyl will stay tacky for quite a while, like months and never goes properly hard.

Not really, you would have been better with smoothrite tbh.

The clue is in the name. Specifically the "WAX" bit.

Done, white spirit and old rags.

Yep it does, but right now I can't afford to do it. Waiting to hear back from a friend of a friend. So far I've been quoted £60.
