Ah right sweet cheers. How do I change it? Just undo the bolt in the gearbox end of the cable pull out the cable then pull out the worm gear?

Yep. Be careful when pulling the speedo cable out of the box, as you don't want that plastic gear catching on something and dropping into your gearbox.

The gear is held on to the cable by a little circlip, if memeory serves you just need to press it in and carefully pully on the gear and it should slide off. Don't lose thje circlip ;)

When reassembling, you should be able to see the "back" of the circlip, not the open end, through the little hole in the gear. If you don't see it then the gear isn't pushed up right.

To tag along from this, my new cable doesn't have a circlip and the circlip from the old cable fell into the gap between the grill and the radiator (the bonnet lock)

Can the circlips be bought from anywhere?

Already had the orange drive cog drop into the gear box and had to fish it out with a screwdriver and needle nose pliers
