Making mk3 key a flip blade ...
« on: 11 November 2012, 18:50 »
I want to make my key in to a flip , I don't have anything inside my key as I don't have remote central locking , so the fob button are irrelevant to me , so asking as I can't find a flip fob blank in (AH) key code (AH is right ? Does say WFO on the other side I my blade ?)

So this looks like the whole package fob and a blade 390484795916

That will be correct for me won't it ? I would just need to get that blade cut to mine at timpsons ect put my transponder in and I'm away ?

Here's my key

I read a guide by shady pioneer I think but that was more about fitting the rcl mother board in the two button key

Maybe there is another guide ? Ill keep looking ,

But for£15 and if its the right blade I might aswell try that ....

Buy one of these, get the blade cut, then put your immob chip init then your away, or they do a remote central lockon kit for £25 (which I have)

Worth a punt for £15.
I made one from a normal key and my old bora fob.

That looks correct.  I bought the AH flip key blank and shell separately and they only came to about £7 or so if i remember rightly.  Then i hacked my alarm fob to pieces and installed it inside the new flip key shell.

Oh sweet and they work alright do they ?

I got a rc/l + alarm on eBay ages ago but never fitted it because Its pretty complicated has proximity sensors and a microwave sensor ect and after looking at it I don't trust the alarm to work / not go off al the time.  So might get that rcl kit and stick with that
