I've just become the owner of a 1999 Golf GTi Turbo (AGU) and I'm looking forward to being an active member of the community. For my sins I've mostly owned Vauxhalls but had a company car for the past 8 years so been forced to drive a Ford of some sort. This came along at the right price so I thought I'd give VW a go
Overall the car is in good condition with a few scuffs and scratches but nothing to worry about. I need to fix the sunroof, heated seats and adjust the doors as they've dropped a little. Other than that it needs a wash and wax and it's good to go. It's the AGU engine with a Stage 1 map, just had a full service with filters, new clutch, new back brakes (disks, pads and calipers) and a few replacement sensors. The seller threw in a K03S which I'm thinking of fitting (Selling if not)
This is the sale ad photo. I'll take some more once it's washed etc. I want to replace the wheels with something standard/better but will do that once I've given the car a full checkup.
