Hi Guy,
Check fuse 5 and relay 2 for the fuel pump.
Check the fitment to the fuse box, take it out give the contacts a clean on both the fuse and the relay. The pump does draw a lot of current from the fuse box and these can heat up causing any solder work inside the relay to melt.
Remember the later ones on the cabby are 5 pin not 4 they have the rev limiter built in from the coil.
Check the supply to the in-tank lift pump under the rear seat. The pump may of died, usually rust in the tank blocking the inlet gauze. So an inspection of inside the tank would't go a miss. I had a new filler neck on mine but they didn't clear the tank, so it blocked up the pump and the fuel filter.
So it's worth having a look see.
