I can see why you'd want a rear panel plinth, but they are very common now, I love the fact that yours doesn't have one, seems very retro, and understated in a nice way...
I'm a firm believer that when VW's are concerned, less is definitely more!

Are they? Truth be told, I hardly ever see a Jetta, makes me feel unique :D But I can't say I had ever seen this flush boot bracket thingy, first time I read about it here. But I agree, less is definitely more. I don't even like the look much of big bumpers :D But they arn't to bad, wouldn't say no if I purchased another.

yeah i see what ou are saying and yeah ni prefer the small bumper look. the reason i wanted the rear boot tub was mainly as i wanted to match the rear to my new front end/grill. but you do have a good point.
