Hi all, I registered to the forum some time ago but haven't had occasion to post anything till now.
I'm currently living in the South West of Ireland and recently acquired a '94 3 door Golf Gti, my first VW in years although I have previously owned a Mk1 Jetta and (VAG at a stretch) two mk1 Ibizas.

I also co-run StanceLife.com, an magazine/blog aimed at the UK & Irish modified scenes, although we're heavily VW biased :D

The Golf is due for big changes, funds allowing, and I'll probably start a thread on its progress. But for now I just wanted to say hello.

I was going to start a project thread, but I dont seem to be able to yet. So I'll go ahead and share some pics right here for now :P

How I got the Gti:



Besides replacing a few trim items that were damaged or missing this was my first mod:


I got these from German ebay for a steal...


but they have yet to be fitted because I havent gotten around to buying coil overs yet... I did get them on for a trial fit (because my stock shocks are knackered, the rears rubbed like crazy)


And this is a little sneak of the theme I hope to be able to carry on through certain parts of the car:



Damn, didn't I just see some one selling an R32 engine, ecu & loom...

Fingers crossed coilovers should be here soon... bought from this forum  :laugh: then I should finally be able to fit my wheels.

Which reminds me, I've tried taking the hex bolts out from the back of the rear hubs in order to fit my camber shims, but I couldn't budge them and I didn't want to round them off ... any tips?
