GOLF MK4 FAULTY MAF SENSOR?
« on: 13 September 2012, 18:08 »
HI ALL

My golf mk4 sometimes has rough idle & a loss of power from what ive seen on the web it could be a faulty maf sensor,

Ive seen some people write that u can test if its faulty by removing the maf sensor clip then start the car up to see if the rough idle goes away?

Just wanna know if this is safe to do? also should I give it a clean while its off?

just take the connector off the MAF and see what happens. If it's better, you know the MAF is past it
