Vac pipes
« on: 08 September 2012, 13:52 »
Just been trying to renew some vac pipes but not sure where they all go.
There's a pipe missing from the top connector on my airbox, but I don't know where it should go to.
Pix of where they are at the moment. Any ideas? Cheers...

Top line from the airbox should be going to the inlet of the line which is on your bottom picture, the line which is traveling to the bottom of the pic and comes from the thottlebody, t-piece, fuel pressure regutlator --> airbox.

Everything else looks coorect. I can see the one blanked off on your throttlebody, that is correct. Also check if the outlet/inlet behind the throttle body is also blanked off.

I've checked this again, and coming from my t joint is a pipe that runs round the back of the block and disapperas into the bulkhead?
Any idea what this is and where it goes as i think this should be where the airbox connects???

Hmm...not seen that before.

As far as I know a vac pipe does connect behind the firewall and goes into the clocks which measures the MPG, but that pipe doesn't come from the t-piece, it comes off a nipple from the brake servo before the inlet manifold.

The T-piece should connect to the airbox, correct. I will be tinkering around tomorrow, will post a picture up for you!

Last picture, the small piece of silicone tube which goes into the standard one, off the brake booster. Had not changed it round as I could,'t be bothered to rip half the dash off to put the full lengh down.

Behind the throttle body is another piece but that gets blanked off. Same with the nipple on the front of the tb which is to the left where the vacuum hose goes.
