Hi all, i'm new, jus bought Gti, need help tho!!

well i'm only 20 so could only afford a Gti 8v Mk3! Is pretty nippy tho not 'really fast'. But I lov it. It's standard atm, got a few questions,


1- with 17s how low can i go without archwork? 60mm???

2- will 18s fit?

3- been researching exhaust systems, magnex do a nice system with    decat pipe, is this any gud, or what other systems would you recommend?

4- which induction kit is best, heard piperX is better than the K&N for noise!!!

5- what other mods are gud with this 8v 115 bhp engine!!!

6- any1 know anywhere on the net where theres big pics of mk3 standard/slightly modded, especially the VW ones!!!!

LOL, I see what you mean - I think you have been kinda unlucky as its been like a ghost site all weekend. Re-post in the mk3 section or put a link to this thread there - however Iit could be your own fault for buying a mk3 , only kidding, but your mk3 compatriots started the war first!!
Anyhow - welcome to the club and dont be to disilusioned, they are usually a pretty vocal bunch in here with a lot of good ideas.
