modifications on a new driver costs?
« on: 23 August 2012, 14:10 »
was just wondering what sort of costs would it be to add mods to a new driver,  do modifications have a standard price or will it vary on car and driver? the cars i'm looking at are 1.3 mk2 golf, or a 1.4 mk3 golf

wanted to know what sort of price each of the mods listed below runs, and what you pay for your mods

vr6 leather seats (both cars)
momo suede steering wheel and snap off boss (i think thats what its called) (both cars)
vr6 splitter (mk3) or gti big bumpers and grille (mk2)
smoked headlights/indicators/rear lights (both cars)
coilovers (both cars)
upgraded headunit, sub and speakers (both cars)
new wheels (both cars)
rolled arches (both cars)
debadge (both cars)
clifford car alarm or other brand (both cars)

thanks

Nobody apart from your own insurers can answer that question.

No idea what seperate mods cost me, but in total: £498, 26 yrs old, 5 NCB, mk5 Golf GT TDI, colour coded bumpers,TDI tuning box >BHP approx 20-30BHP. Thats with Sky Insurance - forum sponser.

I think it's hard to give a specific cost per mod. Everyone's situation is different and no two people's insurance will be the same. Best to just ask the insurers tbh

mk2 Golf GTi 8v '91 (201,004 miles) & mk5 Golf GT TDI 140
