no response from controller???

anyone come accross this ? ive scaned my mk4 with vag com and its working fine come to scan the mk5 and  (no response from controller)  if i use my snapon ethos it will scan and come up with  unknown fault for some reason something like p1001  its not the ethos as last time i scanned it it gave me a fault for purge valve !

so 2 questions really why vag-com dont work on my mk5   and why a fault code unknown with the ethos??

What vagcom do you have? The MK5 is canbus based so ones for the mk4 and earlier will not work

I meant the lead you have    is it an ebay special or genuine....

Haha nope! The more expensive Ebay leads can do the later cars but its always best to go genuine.  You'll get support from Ross-Tech for however long you have the lead.

If you want to do ALL VAG cars thne you want the HEX-CAN-USB lead
