Piece of piss mate!!!
Just get yourself a haynes manual, a trolley jack and some axle stands and you'll be laughing!
Jack up the car enough so that you can get the old one out and the new one in and then support the engine with the jack and a bit of wood before you take any mountings off.
Might be worth slapping in a clutch kit in whilst the box is out too! you should get one from euro car parts or somewhere for 50 or sixty quid. But if you are doing the clutch though, try and borrow a clutch alignment tool from your local friendly VW garage - makes the gearbox slide in nice and easy!
