Where has the stolen S3 thread gone?
« on: 12 June 2012, 10:12 »
Just wondering, because this morning on my way to work, I almost had a high speed head-on collision with a black Audi hatchback (A3/S3 - didn't see it properly) which erratically turned right (oncoming) in front of me - seemingly due to the police car that was just a bit further up the road.

FWIW I had to emergency brake, hard and missed it by about a foot.

If it helps, it was on Barton road in Stretford at ~10.50am - he turned onto Moss Vale road, there was 1 driver and 1 passenger.

You mean that thread where the owners invested in some expensive cctv and left both doors unlocked for the theifs to enter?

Ohh yeh I know the one. If I was the insurance company I would have voided their policy for being such fools.

I sensed that from the mounting stupid comments.

Pretty much as above, I was on my way to work and a black new Audi hatchback (I didn't have time to see the reg/model) almost crashed in to me - and it looked like he'd seen a police car turn out of a road in his rear view and swerved to take the right corner to avoid it - but it meant me braking from 50mph to 0, hard. I'm lucky no-one was behind me, but I missed the Audi by about a foot.

If it helps, it was on Barton road in Stretford at ~10.50am - he turned onto Moss Vale road, there was 1 driver and 1 passenger.

I was going to follow it to check the reg/make/model - but I couldn't turn around fast enough.

I'll try and find the thread on Ed38
