well the tdi has a big inlet manifold in the way for a start, removing your inlet isn't gonna help
plus you're not trying to unbolt the downpipe from a turbo

Any other ideas on how to get these stubborn bolts off as still no luck?

Heard about some Irwin socket sets? How do these actually work and are these gunna be my prolem solver?

This is turning out to be one pain in the backside!

they will work you just place them over if not tapp them over and trust me it will remove them. i removed the thermostat housing on my fiesta with them and they were allmost round the bolts, tapped the irwin over boom first time out!

Take it to your local friendly exhaust place. They will probably fit it for you for a tenner or so (and probably burn the bolts out with a torch).
