after excellent results on my ABF, im wanting to fit a can in the 1.8t PCV system.
It is an early AGU so is the simplest of systems.
The abf just had the block that wanted to breath. I blocked up the inlet in the airbox, and simply ran the block in to a can that breathed to air (it was actually a lucazade bottle)
i know the 1.8t is a far more complicated lump.
on the ukmk4 guide, the head and block breather are 'T pieced' together in to one inlet on a catch can, and then the other inlet/outlet of the can back in to the TIP. this creates a fully airtight loop. i cant afford a sakai michi can, so will be a generic ebay item with modified 15mm inlets.
But do you have to put plumb the can back in to the inlet? although the can will catch the emulsified gunk and water, the engine will still take in the vapours? or do you need the vacume to pull in all through?
