Sounds like im running a flat but im not :-/

So yeah got a used tyre put on today and since they put it on it actually sounds like im running a flat. but i'm actually not as i'v checked all the tyre pressures. Very strange. anyone any clue what it could be.

Castlated tyre? jack it up and run your hand over the tread,feel for uneven tread surface,spin the wheel and look carfully for deformation :smiley:

standard 195/50/15s not sure on the wheel make to dark to go look now. but yeah ill jack car up tomorrow and look. ill even change the wheels round see if that helps. just strange how i never had it before they replaced the tyre.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tyre had a flat spot after been removed from a long standing scrap vehicle.

I can't help thinking Thai is talking about the sort of flat spot that happens on cars that are stood up for ages. The type that you can get rid of with a foot pump...

Certainly stood up tyres don't wear unevenly...

I see marks in the fast lane of the M3 that look like someone has been larking about with the handbrake at silly speeds though - that will give you a flat spot...

TBH I would probably be concerned enough about it to want it off my motor. I have no idea what is causing it but my brain would certainly spend too much time on wondering what the possibilities were that £60 or so for a new one would be economical relief IYKWIM...
