ecu questions

hi just wondering what the car ecu controls in a golf vr6?
Does it control eletric windows? aralrm? sunroof? boot pop etc?

no surely just the engine hence the name Ecu, it will do ignition timing, idle speed so on

makes sence why my engune wornt start but when the fault occured the windows went down and now the windows and sunroof both wont work :s and the central locking has stopped working

The ecu is engine but they should have a module that controls the windows etc.

battery is brand new, the ecu was fried because a tool but it on backwards, could that have fried the window modules to?

You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.

mite do away with the eletric window if they need new motors and regulators  :embarassed:
