Help. Radiator Top Grill Removal

OK. Being a complete muppet.

For the life of me I can get the top rad grill (the one with the VW badge) off.

Searched all the guides which say it pulls forwards. But mine doesn't. It's as if the bottom has trim tape attaching to the bumper cover.

Any help really appreciated.

4 screws on the top then get hold of it on the lower edge where bumper and grille meet and give it a proper pull.

it takes some effort to get it off but it won't snap.


once the first couple of tabs are out the rest comes out easier
