Hi all, iv recently had to change car due to work commitments and had to go for a 6speed diesel for the motorway cruise in and out of work every day!
The question is, is there anyone local to me (wirral) that can remap my car for a decent price?
Iv got a facelift e46 320cd M-sport running 150bhp standard.
the car didnt have enough pick up for me so i bought a digital tuning box to keep me happy until i sort a map out.
dont get me wrong, the box (which cost me about £120) has done an amazing job! my friend has a remap'd Focus ST2 pushing 265bhp and rolling on from 70mph he was behind me and couldnt manage an overtake until we hit over 130mph! (on a private road obv) iv also done the same stretch against a lotus elise from 70mph, and again he couldnt pull away! but im still after more!
iv been told a remap will take it to 200bhp but will provide me with more boost and from lower in the rev range.. which i want, the box just controls fuelling..
if i de-cat it and fit a sports box id see a proven 215bhp..
can anyone around here provide me with these figures?
im a member on a bmw forum but the guy thats had proven maps at these figures is based in B/ham.. bit too far for me..
i also want a custom map on the rollers as a generic map isnt what im after.
Iv used Carbon in the past (with my mk4 AUM ) and they are stunning at what they do, but after seeing there out for a while im kinda scratching my head on what to do..
Do i sit and what for them or do i see whats out there?
