Removing alarm systems
« on: 13 May 2012, 19:52 »
On the g3 I have bought it has an alarm and immobiliser fitted that has somehow managed to go wrong..

I've taken it all out and reconnected all the original wires back up but I'm still not getting a spark..

Does a 1995 gti 16v have an OE immobiliser that could be causing me problems?

Does the key have a little hole in the top? If so, then yes it does. Late ones (95-98 (although 95 being the crossover so some may or may not)) will have it as standard.

It did have a standard one in there which we found out when removed the other cat1 alarm as that, in turn, was also locked.

De-Immobilsed ECU put in there and now found out the hall sensor wiring is shot, when will this ever end..

3 golfs, none work
